For two years, Jason was a resident assistant at the Parkside International Residential College. During this time, he served as the building's social media chair. When given this position, the existing Instagram account was inactive with approximately 50 followers. Over nine months, Jason grew the account by 2000% to nearly 1,000 followers. Main feed posts would consistently receive a 20 to 50% engagement rate. This positioned Parkside IRC as the most followed USC residential college on Instagram. Some responsibilities Jason took on were photographing original content for the main feed and story posts, creating a beginning-of-the-year spotlight post for each RA, editing 12 "day-in-the-life" IGTV vlogs for each RA on the staff team, and creating custom advertisements for building and campus-wide events. Jason was commended by leadership within USC's Department of Residential Education for revolutionizing how buildings within USC Housing could utilize social media. His eye for design allowed for an online community to be built that truly enhanced the residential experience. See some of Jason's social media management work for Parkside IRC below.
