After working with acclaimed photographers at Haute Magazine, Jason decided to pick up a camera himself during the summer of 2020. Seeing it as a safe and creative pastime to take up during the COVID-19 pandemic, he began capturing his friends within his hometown. Since then, he has used the art of image-making as a way to develop and maintain relationships, both new and old.
At the University of Southern California, Jason was formally trained in architectural photography through the School of Architecture. He refined skills relating to framing, lighting, exposure, color correction, and printing. While attending Columbia University, Jason was trained in photojournalism under the instruction of award-winning documentary photographer, Nina Berman.
Jason principally shoots portrait photography, with an emphasis on intimate and naturalistic settings. He currently photographs in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City areas.
