Transparency is a comedy podcast that discusses the young adult experience with a group of college students. The podcast was started by five friends - Jason, Urm, Dolly, Alex, and Shafer - who met while serving as resident assistants together at the University of Southern California. The group was inspired by the zany life stories they would tell one another, so much so that they thought the world needed in on them. Transparency debuted in October 2019 and ran for 20 episodes, up until July 2020.
The series is an unscripted, unstructured, and unfiltered roundtable conversation. Every week, the group shares opinions and stories on a given topic such as childhood, fitness, puberty, self-care, holidays, relationships, and more. Intermixed with tangents and off-the-cuff banter, each episode offers a candid look into the minds of a diverse group of friends. Nearly all of the podcast series was recorded in USC Annenberg's industry-grade audio studio, with some of the final episodes recorded remotely in quarantine. Jason edited each show in Adobe Audition and published them to all major podcast streaming platforms. You can listen to Transparency in all its glory right now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and Stitcher.
