Jason Cerin is a journalist and video producer based in New York City. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California and Columbia University. Most recently, he worked as a video producer for Brut. America.
At USC, Jason majored in International Relations (Global Business) and minored in Psychology and Law. He gained diverse experience in broadcast, print, and online journalism. He co-founded Haute Magazine, a student-run art, fashion, and culture publication with a global readership of over 500,000 people. He also served as a multimedia journalist, video producer, and senior digital producer for USC’s student-led newsroom, Annenberg Media.
At Columbia, Jason received a Master of Science degree in Journalism. His coursework ranged from photojournalism and documentary video to arts criticism and opinion writing. Covering beats such as art, fashion, culture, and entertainment, Jason solidified his ability to craft rich story experiences rooted in young, diverse, and experimental ideas.
At Brut. America, Jason produced short-form video content centered on pop culture and entertainment news. He was the host of "We Need To Talk," as well as regularly conducted celebrity interviews, live event coverage, and red carpet correspondence. He independently created over 500 videos, both editorial and branded, which collectively amassed over 150 million views on TikTok alone.
